Tekeia Michelle Clay's Obituary
Tekeia “KeKe” Michelle Clay, 49, of Chattanooga, passed away Saturday, July 9, 2022, in a local hospital. She was born to the late Glorius Clay Joiner in Hillsboro, Alabama on August 15, 1972. KeKe graduated from Kirkman Technical High School in 1990. She earned an Associate of Applied Science degree and an Office Systems Specialist Technical Certificate from Chattanooga Technical Community College in 2018. She was a faithful servant of Jehovah God at the Avondale Congregation. She was baptized June 17, 1989. KeKe was previously employed at First Tennessee Bank and recently employed at Chattanooga State. She was a kind and sweet hearted woman who kept a smile on her face. She loved her family and close friends, a devoted Aunt to her nieces and nephews. KeKe was preceded in death by her mother, Glorious Clay Joiner; grandmother, Cartie Ree Clay; aunts, Ruthie Clay Dillard and Alice Clay; uncle, James Clay; and great-nephew, Melakhi White. Survivors include brother, Kelvin Clay, Sr.; aunt, Carolyn Clay Jones; uncle, Robert Clay; nieces and nephews, Kendrea Clay McKnight, Damareus Wellington, Keya (Melvin) White, Brittany Clay, Camill (Allen) Ray, Kelvin Clay, Jr., Kelvin Clay, III, Ivan Clay Newsome, and Kristopher Clay; a host of other nieces; nephews; great-nieces; great-nephews; cousins; other relatives; close friends, Marie Moore, Linda Roberts, Alice Cameron, and a host of other friends.
