I had the honor of growing up in the neighborhood with Michael,and knew his mother very well.As kids,we would hangout at his house in the back yard or inside and we would play the drums,watch television or just chill.Michael was a very,very,smart and mature individual for his age,and as teens,we played on the same football team in junior high school,at the now torn down Elbert S. Long junior high school in which we went undefeated(without my help)and beat the then Brainerd Jr. High school in the city championship on the field of Brainerd Sr. High field 7-6.Michael was a well respected member of the community of Shepherd,and absolutely will be forever missed.My deepest condolences go out to his entire remaining family members on this most difficult loss.May he rest in paradise,and may his family be blessed.
