Marjorie Swoopes' Obituary
Marjorie Ann Swoopes, 70, of Chattanooga, passed away Friday, May 7, 2021 in a local hospital. She was a graduate of Howard High School. She was a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband, Wilton Swoopes; mother, Frances Young; father, Earskine Starkey. Survivors include her brothers, Terry (Nancy) Starkey of Chattanooga and Elton (Amara) Young of Acworth, GA; half-brother, Earskine Starkey, Jr.; half-sister, Lisa Starkey; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. Pastor Wayne L. Johnson is the eulogist.
