Kindness and generosity are qualities that come to mind when I think of Ed. I had the privilege of being a guest in his home, so experienced firsthand the loving hospitality that he and his dear wife, Felicia extended. A fond memory I have was his being willing to drive 2 hours simply because he overheard me saying that I would like to visit a foreign language congregation in the area. All of us will miss him dearly, but look forward to welcoming him back soon.
I loved when he called me cuz. We were more than spiritually related, we were family and he treated me like family.He will be missed. If I could here him burst into laughter, I loved him dearly.
My fondest memory was When he and my grandfather (Willie Baker) found out they were related. They had the same kind of demeanor and sense of humor. That made their bond unique!!! 🤗
When I think of Ed Lewis, first I think of his smile like the one on the photo Felicia picked. Next I think of him teasing Felicia, and her getting him back! Next I think of how much fun Ed was, he was my “roller dog” buddy. When we traveled to conventions and we stopped to get gas, there was hardly a time the both of us didn’t come back to the car with gas station food. None of it was good for us, but we were living dangerously! Ed made everywhere we went more fun, and people just naturally loved him. I wait to see him again. We will find something new to eat.
