I knew Edith in my early 20's where we were neighbors at and a apartment building where we became friends, I will miss her deeply and her laughter may she rest with God, deep condolence to the family from your dear friend Charlene Colvin ❤️❤️
I first met Edith back in 2006 when we were both working at Coolidge Park, and from the very beginning, she was one of those people you don’t forget. She worked hard, she loved deeply, and she was absolutely crazy about her daughter, Shay Shay.
Edith had one of the liveliest, most genuine personalities you could ever come across. Confidence came to her naturally — imposter syndrome didn’t stand a chance around her.
My family had a little chihuahua named Boomer, and when we were moving, we couldn’t take him with us. And let me be honest… Boomer was bad. But Edith welcomed him with open arms anyway. Somehow under her care, he wasn’t quite as bad anymore. Still feisty, but finally a little disciplined — and definitely a lot chunkier. Visiting him at her house always made our hearts smile.
Boomer stayed with her until the day he passed, and that touched our hearts more than she ever knew. Not many coworkers would do something so kind, so selfless, and so full of love.
Edith was a beautiful soul, and I’m grateful our lives crossed paths. May she rest in peace. 💛
