Doris Ann Pointer, 83, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away Saturday, June 22, 2024, in a local healthcare facility. She was a graduate of Howard High School. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lillian Role; father, Joseph Arnold; husband, Lynn Pointer; son, Anthony Arnold; sister, Veronica Hardy; and brother, Joseph Arnold, Jr. Those left to cherish her memories include her daughter, Leatri (Stanley) Pointer Cox of Chattanooga; grandchildren, Dominic Silvels, Robert Davis, Latifah Geter, and James Geter, Jr.; three great-grandchildren; nephews, Tony (Alfreda) Austin, Joseph Arnold, Karl (Marcella) Arnold, and Kenneth Arnold; niece, Angela (Armond, Jr.); very special friends, Patricia Stewart and Rodney Gordon. Doris will lie-in-state on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 12:00 noon in the chapel with Brother Phillip Henderson as the eulogist. Burial in Highland Memorial Gardens.
