The last time I saw or talked to Mrs. Bernice was at my mother's 80th Birthday Celebration. She will always be remembered for her wit and voice. Praying for the entire Lockett family. When my kids would visit my parents in the summer Aunt Bunch would accompany my mom on numerous outings! Thankful for her care of us and my children. Rest in heaven ❤️
Every Christmas growing up I would receive a K-Mart holiday bear and a card for $5 from Santa, but it was really from Aunt Bunch. Her cursive handwriting always gave it away. I can recall countless times she and my mother would talk on the phone and laugh the entire time. The joy she brought to others was unmatched. I can clearly still hear her sing on Sunday mornings at church. The sound of her voice was soulful and authentic. I’ll hold all those memories close because they shaped my childhood. My deepest condolences to all that loved her. She was a treasure! Rest easy, Aunt Bunch!

Our deepest condolences to the Lockett family. Sister Lockett was a family friend. She used to babysit us when me and my sisters were younger. She was always upbeat and smiling. You could even hear the smile through the phone. She and my mother were close friends, so I know the impact she had on the lives of others. To the Lockett Family, My mother and I always enjoyed and was so moved when Mrs. Lockett sang "In the End". It was one of my favorite songs growing up at Prospect Baptist Church. She kept on singing and bringing comfort and joy to others until as the song says, the time has now come for her to take her rest from life's battlefield as the Lord has beckoned her home.
