Yavonka Davis' Obituary
Yavonka “Plunk” Latis Davis, 50, of Chattanooga, passed away Friday, January 28, 2022, at her residence. She attended City High School and received her Associate degree from Belhaven University. With hard work and determination, she later went on to obtain her Master’s Degree. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Zelma Price; mother, Yahanna Price; daughter, Mika Davis; brother, Carlos Price; brother-in-law, Roulos Davis; niece, Rolisha Davis; and aunt, Thelma Walker. Survivors include her husband of 22 years, Michael Davis; sons, Quaterrius Taylor (Bresha Turner) and Micqual Davis (Alexis Jones); daughters, Rashida Holmes (Emmanuel Talley) and Mikia Davis (Demetric Bush); grandson, Rhyder Bush; granddaughter, Baileigh Taylor; mother-in-law, Cordia Davis; brothers, Montrel Price, Ontario Price, Martell Price, all of Chattanooga, and Floyd (Aretha) Davis of Benton Harbor, MI; sisters, Rakia (Toney) Williams, Xaviera Price, and Jamiko Price; sisters-in-law, Karen Davis, Mary Woods, Dalphia Davis, Patience Davis, and Charlene Price, all of Chattanooga; nephew/son, Aydrian Saunders; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives; best friends, Tameka Hudson, Kimberly Patrick and other friends. Pastor Floyd Davis is the eulogist.
