Rest well, Mr. Wilson ❤️

REVELATION 21:4 AND HE WILL WIPE AWAY EVERY TEAR FROM EYES; AND THERE WILL NO LONGER BE ANY DEATH; THERE WILL NO LONGER BE ANY MOURNING, OR CRYING, OR PAIN; THE FIRST THINGS HAVE PASSED AWAY."

Bledsoe was literally one of the toughest men I've ever known. In a time where real men are waning Bledsoe was the embodiment of a man's man. He was quite, a good listener, and gave wise advice. A Vietnam Veteran, he never showed fear. And he was to be respected. You knew it the first time your eyes met his.
That wasn't to say he couldn't laugh. We shared a lot of those on 3rd shift. Rather me asking if he shines his bald head at the bowling alley (that thing glistened!) or if he claimed his mustache as tax dependant. Of course he asked how many cows died to make my duty belt.
He taught me a leadership lesson I have applied in every job and aspect of my life since he shared it.
It was this:
"There's always going to be change. Before you react or get all upset about it.... Just calm down. Be patient. And just do the right thing. It will work out."
I would say once a month I think about him telling me that when I was in my first year of service of Hamilton County Sheriff's Office - TN. He was right. And that advice has transcended and manifested calm wisdom in numerous paths of my life.
RIP friend.
