Willie George Pierce's Obituary
Willie George Pierce, 86, of Chattanooga, passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at his residence. He was a lifetime resident of the Park City Community; a 1957 graduate of Howard High School, and attended Tuskegee College.
He was a retired supervisor from DuPont for 43 years. His hobbies include fishing and collecting antique cars. He was known as “Chili Willie”, “Killer”, and wearing his Kango hats. Every morning was breakfast at the Krystal’s. He had a great love for his daughters, grandchildren, and the rest of his family. But most of all, his blood for life who never left his side, his brother Leamon.
Willie was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Robert and Eddie Lou Pierce; grandson, Cordero Williams; brother, Hosea Pierce, Sr.; nephews, Leamon, Jr., and Hosea Pierce, Jr.; niece, Cathy Pierce.
Survivors include his five daughters, Deborah (Ronald) Saia of Lincoln, CA, Dedra D. Harrison, Wanda R. (Jimmy) West, Willene G. (George) West, and Tammie T. Pierce, all of Chattanooga; four grandchildren, Jimmiel and Terrence West, Natarea Williams, and Sakinah Rashid; twelve great-grandchildren, Journey, Jermany, Jersey Boston, Ki’yan, Terrence West, Jr., Jatavion, Tyson, Mykel, Coriel, Malaya, and London Williams; one great-great-grandson, Jaire Williams; brother, Leamon (Sue) Pierce; two cousins, Ronald (Yvette) Stevenson and Julius Summerow; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives; close friend, Bo Pete Adams, and many other friends.
Willie will lie-in-state on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 12 noon in the Chapel with Brother John R. Taylor, Sr. as the Eulogist. Burial in Forest Hills Cemetery.
