Willie McKibben's Obituary
Willie Floyd McKibben, 77, of Chattanooga, passed away Thursday, October 26, 2023, at his residence. He attended Howard High School. He was employed by Moccasin Bend and retired after 40 years of service. He was a member of Great Love In Christ. Willie was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Lottie McKibben; daughter, Tonya White; two brothers, Raymond McKibben and Eddie B. McKibben; five sisters, Ruth Armor, Rosie Slay, Lessie Orr, Sarah McKibben, and Annie Ringer. Survivors include his wife of 6 years, Celestine (Emmons) McKibben; son, Darien (Christine) McKibben of Chattanooga; daughters, Michelle White and Samantha McKibben, both of Chattanooga; stepchildren, Josh Adams, Antionette Boston, and Annette (John) Ferguson; three granddaughters, Robin McKibben, Valerie (Rodrick) Crawford, and Cetarra Patrick; one grandson, Quinton White, all of Chattanooga; 18 great-grandchildren; sister, Bobbie McKibben of Chattanooga; brother-in-law and special friend, William Trice of Chattanooga; a host of special nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. Willie will lie-in-state on Sunday, November 5, 2023, from 12:30-5:00 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Monday, November 6, 2023, at 12 noon in the chapel with Pastor Sarah Lott as the eulogist. Burial in Forest Hills Cemetery.
