She was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee on May 31, 1940, to Earl Rush and Florine Edwards. She was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and attended the Tyner Congregation. Pearl was faithful and diligent in her love of Jehovah, His son Jesus and His word the Bible for many happy years. She loved packing a lunch of fried chicken, biscuits and potato logs to travel to religious assembles and conventions with her family. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Pearl was known for her kind, generous heart and her listening ear. Even while in the nursing facility she provided a listening ear and a shoulder to cry on to the staff that cared for her there.

Survivors include her son, Milton (LaFreida) Corbin; daughter, Janice Smith; brothers, Kelvin Wilkins, LeBron Wilkins, and John L.
