Willie Frank Ammons' Obituary
Willie Frank Ammons, 73, of Chattanooga, passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at his residence. He was a graduate of Howard High School, class of ’66. After high school, he served four years in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. Willie received an A.S. in Business from McKenzie College. He retired from Alstom (Combustion) after many years of dedicated service. Willie Frank was a member of Beulah Baptist Church where he sang in the Male Chorus, was a Sunday School teacher, and served on the Finance Committee. He later joined New Zion Baptist Church, where he continued to serve. Willie Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Mary Frances Ammons; and sister, Sylvia Ammons Partridge. Survivors include his son, Kristopher Ammons of Chattanooga; brothers, Jerome Ammons, Clarence (Clarissa) Ammons, Ronald Ammons, and brother-in-law, Alvin Partridge; sisters, Connie Ammons Johnson and Robin Ammons, all of Chattanooga; aunt, Julia Bruce Ammons of Gardena, CA; a host of loving nephews; nieces; cousins; a highly favored and very dear friend, Wilhemenia Hogg, and favorite neighbor, Virginia Moore. Pastor Baron Ammons will serve as the eulogist. Burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Arrangements are by Taylor Funeral Home of Chattanooga, Inc.
