Willie George Adams, I's Obituary
Willie George Adams, I, 76, formerly of Chattanooga, passed away Saturday, June 25, 2022, at his Raleigh, NC residence. He was born December 10, 1945, to George and Willa Adams in Chattanooga. He was educated in the Ringgold Georgia School System and graduated from Wilson High School as Salutatorian. “Will” joined the United States Army and became Sergeant First Class. He earned many metals, including two Purple Hearts. After retiring from the US Army, Will went to college and earned his Associate Degree in Business Management. He was employed with Orkin Pest Control for many years and became the Region Manager. He later opened his own business, A&C Pest Control. Will was preceded in death by his parents, George and Willa Adams. Survivors include his wife and best friend, Catherine Neal-Adams; 7 children, Willie (Kerrie) Adams of Norman, OK, Demetria (Dewayne) Davis of Orlando, FL, Angie Adams of Oakland, CA, Lance (Sarah) Adams of Durham, NC, Danielle Adams of Raleigh, NC, Cathy (Joseph) Allen of Ooltewah, TN, and Crystal (Ernie) Ginn of Chattanooga; 20 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; 3 brothers, Herman (Luce) Reid of Waterbury, CT, Reverend Robert (Trina) Reid of Cleveland, OH, and Jamie Reid of Ringgold, GA; 2 sisters, Judy Shropshire and Nancy Jones; 2 aunts, Mary Smith and Lula Wheeler, both of Chattanooga; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. Pastor Omar Reid will serve as the eulogist.
