William Pierce Ware, Jr.'s Obituary
William “Billy” Pierce Ware, Jr., 72, of Chattanooga, passed away Saturday, July 23, 2022, in a local hospital. He attended Howard High School. William was employed by the City of Chattanooga Public Works Department and retired after 30 years of service. He was a member of New Sholar Avenue Baptist Church and was also a member of the Hamilton County Baptist Association. He was preceded in death by his father, William Pierce Ware, Sr.; mother, Ella Mae Hand Ware; brother, Eddie Paul Ware, Sr.; and brother-in-law, Hughie Lightner, Jr. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Vivian Lynn Ware; sons, Kenneth E. (LaTonia) Ware and Ronald E. Ware; daughter, Crystal Hardaway, all of Chattanooga; five grandchildren, Kenneth Ware, Kaliya Ware, Tyana Bennette, Keaira Ware, and Christopher Ware; brothers, Allen Ware, Randolph Ware, Derris (Beverly) Ware, and Arlandis (Rena) Ware; sister, Norma Jean Ware Lightner, all of Chattanooga; aunt, Ernestine Ware of Roanoke, AL; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives; special friend, Donny Calloway and other friends. Dr. Jeffrey T. Wilson will be officiating and Pastor Kenneth E. Ware will serve as the eulogist.
