William Lawrence “Big Will” Jackson, Jr., 40, of Chattanooga, passed away Wednesday, August 14, 2024 in the Hospice Care Center. He was a graduate of Hamilton County High School. William was preceded in death by his mother, Angela Barber Toney; grandmother, Carrie Akridge Barber; grandfather, Walter Barber; Edward L. Jackson; Robert and Mary Jackson. Those left to cherish his memories include his son, Dey’Shawn Jackson, of Ohio; daughters, Angela Jackson, Madison Jackson, and Brooklyn Jackson; father, William Jackson, Sr.; stepfather, Marvin Toney; brother, Anthony Jackson; sister, LaFrizz (Mallarie) Jackson, all of Chattanooga; nephew, Marcus Walker; nieces, Jekayla Hobdley, Ziyunna Jackson, Andrea Jackson, and Kehlani Harrison; a host of other relatives and friends. William will lie-in-state on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. at Greater Community COGIC of Chattanooga. Funeral service will follow at 12:00 noon with Bishop Anthony Taylor as Eulogist. Burial in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.
