William Cornelius Gober, Jr., 71, of Chattanooga, passed away Thursday, November 3, 2022. He was a graduate of Central High School and a member of Stanley United Methodist Church. William was preceded in death by his father, William Cornelius Gober, Sr.; mother, Ossie Belle Gober; brother, Jimmy Hawkins, Sr. Survivors include his sons, William Cornelius (Jennifer) Gober III of Ooltewah and Robert Mitchell; daughters, Dewonda Nicole (Corey) Tazewell of Collegedale, Denicesha Stephanie Gober of East Ridge, and Ashley Michelle Curry of Chattanooga; 11 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; brother Jerome (Sandra) Gober of Chattanooga; sisters, Sandra Simmons, Audrey Gober, Rosalind (William) Cash, all of Chattanooga; Yvette Gober of Ooltewah, and Kimberly (Leslie) Ross of Harrison; aunts, Eleanor Harris of Chattanooga and Shirley Presley of Louisville, KY; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Pastor Alvin Bonner will serve as the eulogist.
