William Daniels, Jr.'s Obituary
William Daniels, Jr., 68, of Chattanooga, known as Hot Lips, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 2, 2025, surrounded by family in a local hospital. He was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, on November 9, 1956, to the late William Daniels, Sr. and Elizabeth Pierce. William attended Brainerd High School and then enrolled in Job Corps, where he earned a certification in welding. He was a member of Greater Second Missionary Baptist Church until his health began to fail him.
William loved and adored his family and friends. He enjoyed reading the Bible and sharing his life experiences with others as a testimony. He often called his loved ones to share scriptures with them to read.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Daniels, Sr., and Elizabeth Pierce; his brother, Melvin Daniels; grandparents, John and Ida Daniels, and Alex Pierce and Lola Mae Pierce.
Those he leaves to cherish his memories are his wife, Anna Rose Daniels; special friend, Sharon Hudson, the mother of his eldest daughter, Danielle Daniels; and son, Antonio Daniels; grandchildren, Garyique Porter, Donielle Porter, and Kerry Fortson, Jr., all of Chattanooga; his loving sisters, Gloria Daniels and Sherrell Daniels, both of Chattanooga; a loving aunt, Carolyn Davis of Jamaica, NY; nieces, Kenya Morgan, Maria (Desmah) King, Sharon (Charles) Spencer, two nephews, Jamison (Shandy) Morgan and Atiba Daniels; two great-grandchildren, Reagan Jones and Raiden Porter. William has many cherished great-nieces and nephews, as well as numerous great-great-nieces and nephews, all from Chattanooga; longtime loving friends of the family, Romona Lagramada, Rony Lagramada, Crystal Hardaway, Claytina Gore, Renee Gibson, and Clay Brook Adams.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 3 p.m. at Hawkinsville Missionary Baptist.
