William Andrew Caldwell Jr.'s Obituary
Pastor William Andrew Caldwell Jr., of Clinton, passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2022, in a hospital in Knoxville, Tennessee. He was born in Chattanooga and a graduate of Howard High School, Class of 1968. He pastored Mt. Sinai Baptist Church in Clinton. He was preceded in death by his parents, Glenora and William Caldwell, Sr.; brothers, Pastor Jay P. Trimble and Eddie Jo Woods; sisters, Ruby Caldwell Jones, Mary Elizabeth Roberts, Patricia Wright and Bertha Eppinger; sister-in-law, Mildred Finley; brothers-in-law, Pastor Nathaniel Carter, Thomas Lazenby, and Bernard Smith. Survivors include his wife, Henrietta Caldwell; sons, David Caldwell and William (Ashley) Caldwell, III; grandchildren, Jorden and Makenzey Caldwell; sisters, Willie Eva Carter, Mattie Smith, and Marion Presley; brothers, James (Jeanette) Caldwell and Emmanuel “Jack” Finley; sisters-in-law, Barbara Woods and Rose Trimble; and brother-in-law, Paul Griffin; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives; and friends. Pastor Caldwell will lie-in-state on Friday, May 13, 2022, from 1-7 p.m. at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, 420 Jarnigan Street, Clinton, Tennessee 37716. The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 14, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church, 225 North Main Street, Clinton, Tennessee 37716. Funeral service will follow at 12 noon at the church. Burial will be in Mount Sinai Church Cemetery. Arrangements are by Jarnigan & Son Mortuary, Knoxville, Tennessee.
