Walter Nathaniel Harris, Jr., 58, of Chattanooga, passed away Wednesday, May 5, 2021 in a local hospital. He was formerly employed by National Postage Company. Walter was preceded in death by his wife, Amberlee White Harris; parents, Walter Harris, Sr. and Mary Katherine Harris; grandmothers, Clara Thompson and Katie Hampton; brother, Jesse Harris. Survivors include his children, Jazmyn Harris, Earlene White McConnell, Adrian White, and Anthony White, all of Chattanooga; 15 grandchildren; brother, William (Regina) Johnson of Shelbyville, TN; sisters, Tina Harris Tharpe of Rock Hill, SC and Cathy Harris of Nashville, TN; uncle, Kenneth (Yvonne) Brown of Albion, MI; aunts, June Taylor and Mary Brown, both of Shelbyville; three sisters-in-law of Chattanooga; a host of nieces; nephews; great-nieces; great-nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. There will be no funeral service.
