Walter Albert Gravitt's Obituary
Walter Albert Gravitt, 74, of Chattanooga, passed away Saturday, May 22, 2021 in the Hospice Care Center. He was a 1965 graduate of Howard High School and continued his studies at Myles College. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Walter was a member of St. Mary CME Church and played the organ at Phillips Temple CME Church. He was preceded in death by his mother, Frances Gravitt; and aunt who reared him, Jessie Mae James. Survivors include his grandson, Warren Tillison, Jr.; and sister, Velma Jean Newson, both of Chattanooga; a host of nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends. Pastor David Young will be the eulogist.
