Walter "Beach Boy" Blanks, Jr.'s Obituary
Walter “Beach Boy” Blanks, Jr., 66, of Chattanooga, passed away Wednesday, March 3, 2021 in a local hospital. He was a 1974 graduate of Chattanooga Central High School. He continued his education at Chattanooga State and Virginia College and received his associate degree. Walter was a member of Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church. He retired from North Park Hospital as an X-Ray Technician. He was preceded in death by his father, Walter R. Blanks; grandparents, Nancy Jernigan, Earvin and Virginia Blanks. Survivors include his mother, Minnie Blanks of Chattanooga; brother, James “Rickey” (Gaddie) Blanks of Ringgold, GA; uncle, Abdul Musa Wir of Harrison, TN; a host of nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends. Brother Jimmie Ingram will serve as the eulogist.
