Virginia Ann Thornton, 67, of Chattanooga, passed away Wednesday, June 2, 2021 in the Hospice Care Center. She was formerly employed by Wheland Foundry. Survivors include her husband of 36 years, James Edward Thornton; stepdaughters, Sheila (Carl) Warfield of Kentwood, MI and Brigitte (Steve) Julian of Simpsonville, SC; 3 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brothers, George, John, James, and Melvin Stevens; sisters, Shirley (George) Daniels and Mattie Sue Stevens, all of Chicago, IL; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. Pastor Mitchell Foster will be the eulogist.
