Vincent Scott Akridge's Obituary
Vincent Scott Akridge, 45, formerly of Chattanooga, passed away Friday, September 4, 2020 in a Naples, Florida hospital. He was born in Chattanooga to the late Wilma Deane Akridge and Napoleon Akridge. Vince lived the last 20 years in the SW Florida area. He was a 1992 graduate of Red Bank High School where he was a standout football player during his time there. He continued his football career at MTSU and graduated in ’97. Survivors include his wife, Nidza; sons, Vincent and Donovan Akridge of Naples, FL; father, Napoleon B. Akridge of Chattanooga; sister, Teressa (Eric) Jackson of Nashville, TN; brothers, Napoleon “Tron” Akridge of Chattanooga, and Anthony “Tony” Akridge of Savannah, GA; nephews, Napoleon “T.J.” Akridge of Chattanooga, Jordan A. Henderson of Nashville, and Tennyson A. Akridge of Cleveland, TN; nieces, Kennedy V. Jackson and Kendall A. Jackson, both of Nashville; several aunts, uncles and a host of loving cousins and good friends.
