Veronica “Ronnie” Denise Jackson, 63, of Chattanooga, passed away Monday, March 14, 2022, in a local hospital. She was a graduate of Kirkman High School. She was a member of Thankful Baptist Church under Pastor Coleman. Veronica was preceded in death by her husband, Fredrick Jackson; son, Lorenzo Jarrett, Jr.; sister, Felicia Gaines; stepfather, Willie Sims; father, Melvin Dews, Sr.; grandmother, Gabrilla Moody. Survivors include her daughters, Lakisha (Jimmy) Leaster, Sharon Jarrett, and SaTasha Jarrett; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; mother, Shirley Sims; brothers, Rodney Gaines, Randolph Gaines, Melvin Dews, Jr., and Kim Dews; sisters, Yolonda Dews and Ann Dews, all of Chattanooga; several aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. Elder Cynthia Smithers will be the eulogist.
