Vanessa Lane's Obituary
Vanessa Renee Lane, 55, formerly of Chattanooga, passed away Tuesday, August 26, 2025, in a local hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. She was born to Howard Donahue and Endia Harris on January 30, 1970, in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Vanessa attended Howard High School, worked for Favor Market on East 3rd Street, and at Parkridge Hospital while living in Chattanooga. After moving to Nashville, she gave her life to the Lord at New Hope Baptist Church in 2025.
Vanessa was preceded in death by her sons, Kevonta Lane and Lovelle Bailey; father, Howard Donahue; mother, Endia Harris; and grandparents, Walley and Ruby Harris.
Cherishing her memories include her sons, Edwin Harris, Leonard Lane, Othello Lane, Knykholas Lane, and David Lane; daughters, Endia Lane, Lenessa Lane, and Isrelle Lane; grandchildren, Quincy, Esean, Kayden, Eniyah, Khloé, Lanasia, Lanasia V, Endiana, Lariyah, Envy, Anthony, Kingston, Nyla, Lyric, Lyrionna, Emani, Leonnie, Olivia, Kobi, Kemario, Keelan, Kyree, Kavelle, Kash, Kei’nova, and Ka’lannie; brother, Edgar (Paulette) Harris; sisters, Lashunda Brown, Pamela Huff, and Ann Banks; nephew, Edgar Harris, Jr.; other relatives and friends.
Vanessa will lie-in-state on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at 9:00 at Taylor Funeral Home. Graveside service will follow in Greenwood Cemetery at 2:00 p.m.
