Tyron L. Green's Obituary
Tyron Lonnie Green was born on August 3, 1960, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, to the late William and Odell Green. He later moved with his family to Cleveland, Ohio, where he attended John F. Kennedy High School.
In the early 1980s, Tyron began attending the Institute of Divine Metaphysical Research. During this time, he worked for the Richman Brothers Company, where he met the love of his life, Renita. The two married in 1984 and built a beautiful life together. Their union was blessed with one son, and Tyron was also a devoted father to his daughter from a previous relationship.
Tyron was a man of many talents — technology, cooking, sewing, auto mechanics, electrical work — and he approached each skill with curiosity and generosity. He never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a hand. His family often heard him say, “You can do it, just read the book. Everything comes with a book.” He loved traveling with his family and creating memories that will be cherished forever.
Tyron departed this life on January 26, 2026.
He leaves to celebrate his legacy: his loving wife, Renita Green; his son, Justin Green; his daughter, Tameika (Preston) Carter; and his three grandchildren, Aiyana, Aiden, and Alex. He is also survived by his sisters, Rebecca Ivey and Wanda Green; his brother, Charles Glaze; a host of nieces and nephews; and many extended family members and friends who loved him dearly.
Tyron’s life was defined by kindness, curiosity, and a willingness to help anyone in need. His presence will be deeply missed, and his memory will continue to inspire all who knew him.
A Memorial Service for Tyron will be on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home.
