Trammell Sturdivant, Sr.'s Obituary
Trammell “Box” Sturdivant, Sr., 51, of Chattanooga, passed away Thursday, October 24, 2024, in a local hospital. He was a 1991 graduate of Brainerd High School. He was formerly employed with CIB Enterprise as a Flagger. Trammell was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Mitchell; grandmothers, Juanita Whitten and Katie Ruth Heard; nephew, Jevon Sturdivant; mother, Harriet Whitten; and wife, Cheryl Coleman Sturdivant. Survivors include his son, Trammell (Danyelle) Sturdivant, Jr.; daughter, Nisa Sturdivant King; four grandchildren, Trinity Armstrong, Thomas Armstrong, Malia Sturdivant, and Trammell Sturdivant, III; father, James Sturdivant; brother, Larry (Marquise) Mitchell, Jr.; aunt, Tamla Sturdivant; uncle, Fred (Brenda) Sturdivant, Sr.; nieces, Jermya, Dajah, Yaisha, Cabria, and Kennedy; nephews, Keyadre, Keyshaun, Dewayne, and Jamichael; a host of cousins; family friend, Brenda Robinson; other close family members and friends. Trammell will lie-in-state on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, from 1-5 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Thursday, November 7, 2024, at 11 a.m. in the chapel with Pastor Fred Sturdivant, Sr. as the Eulogist. Burial in Forest Hills Cemetery.
