Tory Torrelle Bush's Obituary
Tory Torelle Bush, 41, of Chattanooga, passed away Monday, July 24, 2023. He was born on August 6, 1981. Tory is the 2nd child of 3 children to the parents of Cedric A. Toney and Venita Toney. He attended Christion Fellowship Cumberland Presbyterian Church of America where he served in the Youth Choir. Tory attended Central High School. He was employed by Gestamp. Tory’s smile would light up the room. He was always the jokester making you laugh, but he had a roar like a lion his zodiac sign the Leo when it came to protection of his family, he always wanted to make sure everyone was safe and kept from harm. One of the things he would say the most is, “I am my brother’s keeper” and he truly meant that because if he had it his way no harm would ever come to his little brother, Rico or big sister, Shameka. Tory had a special bond with his mother, and he always wanted to make sure she was alright and whenever something was going wrong Tory would say, “Mama I’m good don’t worry about me, I just want to make sure you’re good and if you’re good I’m good”. Tory was preceded in death by his son, Isaiah Malik Bush; grandparents, Catherine T. Smith, Joseph N. Smith, Marie C. Toney, Pastor Harris E. Toney, and Betty Bush. Cherishing his memories include his wife, Selena Thompson; daughters, Amari Anise Bush and Londan A’yonna Bush; grandson, Kristian Bush; loving mother, Venita J. Toney; loving father, Cedric Toney; sister, Shameka (Michael) Stephens; brother, Rico A. Toney; sister, Jasmine Bush; a host of aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. Tory will lie-in-state on Friday, August 4, 2023, at 9 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 10:30 a.m. in the chapel with Gregory B. Toney, II as the eulogist. Burial in Greenwood Cemetery.
