Tony Ross' Obituary
Tony Ross, 69, of Chattanooga, passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2023, in a local hospital. He attended Booker T. Washington High School. Tony was a member of Washington Park Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Lee Verge Ross; brother, Larry Ross, Vernon Ross, and Marvin Ross; mother-in-law, Annie Bell Moore; and son-in-law, Edward Lawrence, Jr. Survivors include his wife, Sharon Ross; daughters, Jennifer Ross Lawrence, Sonia Ross (Albert) Gholson, and Yolanda Ross; 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Ronnie (Anne) Ross; sisters, Connie Ross and Johnnie Mae McElvain; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. Tony will lie-in-state on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at 9 a.m. Funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. with Minister Gregory E. Boykin as the eulogist. Burial in Highland Memorial Gardens.
