Tonetta Lounds' Obituary
Tonetta Young Lounds, 60, of Chattanooga, was called home on Monday, January 26, 2026, in a local hospital. She was born to Tony and Gracie Young Lounds. Tonetta was a 1983 graduate of Riverside High School. She worked for many years at Chattanooga Seaboard Farms.
Tonetta was preceded in death by grandmother, Willie Mae Pass, grandparents, Clarence and Catherine Young; brothers, Raymond Lounds and Steven T. Young; and sister, Tonnetta Carlisle.
Survivors include her lifetime partner, James Smith; sisters, Audrey (Byron) McClure of Chattanooga, Angela Young of Powder Springs, GA, Nicole Young of Jacksonville, FL, and Elleanor Young of Chattanooga; brother, Edward (Wanda) Young; uncle, Jimmy Dyer; aunts, Margie Young and Vanessa Jenkins of Detroit, MI; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends.
Tonetta will lie-in-state on Friday, February 6, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel with Pastor Todd Lansden as the Eulogist. Burial in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.
