Timothy L. White, Sr.'s Obituary
Timothy Lewis White, Sr., affectionately called “Tippy”, a veteran, and devoted family man, departed this earthly life on Sunday, May 17, 2026, in a local hospital. He was 69 years old.
Born on November 1, 1956, to James Ringer and Julia Stewart Jones, Timothy grew up in Chattanooga and graduated from Howard High School in 1974. After graduation, he answered the call to serve his country by enlisting in the United States Army. Upon returning to civilian life, he furthered his education at Chattanooga State Community College, specializing in autobody. Timothy was a Maintenance Supervisor for Tesco (Riverview Towers) Property for many years.
Tim currently attended New Direction Church and was a former member of Westside Baptist Church where he grew up as a child and later joined New United Church as an adult where he served on the Usher Board.
Timothy was preceded in death by his parents, James Ringer and Julia Jones; brother, Jesse White, Sr., and mother-in-law, Delores Domineck.
Timothy leaves to cherish his loving memory his devoted wife of 27 years, Pat White of Chattanooga; sons, Tim (Jacqueline) White, Jr., TiMichael (Sharonda) White, Lamont Solomon, and Aaron Solomon all of Chattanooga; daughters, Tinika M. White-Woods of Willowick, OH, Lakisha (Joshua) Holloway, and T. Dee Smith both of Chattanooga; brothers, A. J. White of Atlanta, GA and Maurice White of Chattanooga; sister, Cornelia Williams of Atlanta, GA; sisters-in-law, Vera White of Dayton, OH, Dot (Willie) Graves, and Rhonda Jones both of Chattanooga; brothers-in-law, Calvin Ray (Faye) Maddox of Knoxville, TN and Eric (Darnelle) Domineck of Baltimore, MD; devoted granddaughters, Chiquita Lloyd and Te’Mya King-Solomon, 29 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
Timothy will lie-in-state on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, from 1-5 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at 12 noon in the Chapel with Pastor Dorothy Graves as the Eulogist. Burial in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
