Thomas Raleigh Williams, Sr., 75, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away peacefully and surrounded by family, December 29, 2022, at his home. He was born to the late Rufus Andrew Williams, Sr. and the late Ruth Henrietta (Jones) Williams on October 20, 1947. Thomas was a graduate of Riverside High School and retired from Southern Management and Memorial Hospital. He was a pristine dresser and the center of attention. Thomas was always creating numerous lifelong friendships and never ever meeting a stranger. His boisterous laugh, quick-wit, and larger than life personality will be missed. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Georgia Ruth Shackelford Williams; sons, Thomas (Lisa) Williams, Jr., Corey (Donetha) Puckett, Vincent Williams, Montrail Shackelford, and Montez Shackelford; daughters, Shemika Shackelford and Markeita Williams; grandchildren, Saige McCauley, Shiloh McCauley, Carmen Puckett, Courtney Puckett, Makia Puckett, Najja Puckett, Laquisha Williams, Victoria Williams, Dominique Williams, Demetria Williams, Tyree Willaims, Thomasa Williams, and Tia Williams; 20 great-grandchildren; brothers, Rufus (Brenda) Williams, Jr., Homer (Linda) Williams, Cyrus (Sharon) Williams, and Cedric (Darlene) Williams, Sr.; sisters, Rosalind Ludy and Crystal Mines; sisters-in-law, Patricia (Herbert) Shackelford-Gray and Marlene Marsh; special friends, Anthony Cunningham, Diane Harmon, Eddie Vick, Gregory Hardy, Harold Harden, Johnnie Williams, Rachel Lindsey, and Willie Norman; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friend. Brother John R. Taylor, Sr. will be giving words of comfort.
