Mr. Thomas Smith's Obituary
Thomas Smith, 54, of Ooltewah, TN, passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2019 in a Georgia hospital. He graduated from Junction City Senior High. He was a member of Pneuma Christian Center. Survivors include his wife of 11 years, Valeria Lavern Ford Smith; son, Xxavier Smith of Atlanta, GA, Quinton (Kellie) Ford of Cleveland, TN, and Deominique Ford of Fort Meyers, FL; daughters, Carla Ford, Brianna Ford, and Wyneshia Johnson; three grandchildren, all of Chattanooga; brother, Ben Smith of Salina, KS; sister, Liz (Randolph) McQueen of Chattanooga; nieces, Rosalyn (Antwan) Taylor and Tamika Polk, both of Chattanooga; nephews, Fred Sutton III, Marcus Purcell, Montez Sutton, and Cedric Sutton, all of Chattanooga; mother-in-law, Irene Ford; brother-in-law, Earnest Miller; sisters-in-law, Jennifer (John) Hill, Gloria Smith, both of Chattanooga, and Shirley (Larry) Toney of Huntsville, AL; a host of great-nieces; great-nephews; other relatives and friends. Thomas will lie-in-state on Monday, December 23, 2019 at 9 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Burial at 12 noon in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East with the funeral service to follow at 1 p.m. at Pneuma Christian Center with Dr. R.J. McCowan as the eulogist.
