Thomas Connie Sexton's Obituary
Thomas Connie Cornelius Sexton, 74, of Chattanooga, passed away Friday, August 27, 2021, at his residence. He was born February 3, 1947, in Chattanooga, Tennessee to Mr. & Mrs. Shelley Sexton. He attended Howard High School and worked at Eureka Foundry for several years. He was most known for his exceptional culinary skills. He worked as a head chef at some of Chattanooga’s most prestigious restaurants: Town & Country Restaurant, The Loft, and the Read House. Thomas was preceded in death by his siblings, Evelyn, Doris, Mildred, Gloria, Carolyn, Harold, and Harry. Survivors include two children, Willette Sexton and Thomas (Sharma) Sexton, Jr., both living in Chattanooga; adopted son, Antonio (Rosetta) Ivey; 7 grandchildren, Thomquisha Sexton, Thamela Sexton, Takema (J.O.) Owens, Tybresha Sexton, Quatae Swoope, Atorsha Brown, and Wenzell Brown, Jr.; 11 great-grandchildren; several nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. Bishop A.Z. Valentin will be the eulogist.
