Thomas Cook, Sr., “Chop”, 57, was born June 9, 1964, in Chattanooga, Tennessee to William Cook, Sr. and Ilyana Jean Cox. He went home to be with his heavenly Father on Thursday, December 23, 2021. Thomas attended Riverside High School. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age. Thomas loved studying his bible. He was a kind, protective, giving person, and a man who loved spending time with family and friends. His love of Poetry and Drawing brought his family together as he shared items that he personally handcrafted. He had a great sense of humor. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved him. Thomas was preceded in death by his father, William Cook, Sr.; mother, Illyana Jean Cox; sister, Felicia Cox; and brother, William Cook, Jr. Survivors include his daughters, Tearra Green, Sonya Thomas, Jasmine Elder, and Tasha Elder; sons, Thomas Cook, Jr., Courtney High, Cortez, and De'Quest Bonner; sisters, Kendra Cook and Angela Cook; brothers, Jarmaine Cox and Chris Cook; aunt, Debra Carpenter; special cousins, Robert Hawkins, James Barnette, and Anna Hawkins; 5 grandsons and 2 granddaughters; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends.
There will be no service.
