Thaddeus Gerard Sims Sr.'s Obituary
Thaddeus Gerard Sims, Sr., 65, of Chattanooga, passed away Monday, August 8, 2022, in a local hospital. He was born February 22, 1957, in Chattanooga to Henry Sims, Jr. and Sadie Mae Sims. He was a drum major at Howard High School and graduated in 1975. He pursued a welding career and after 20 years retired as a welder. He was preceded in death by his wife of over 40 years, Sarita Sims; parents, Henry Sims, Jr. and Sadie Mae Sims; daughter, La’Kiesha C. Sims; and brother, Henry Sims, III. Survivors include his sons, Thaddeus G. Sims, Jr. and De’Mario Sims White; daughter, Ger’Meka M. Sims, all of Chattanooga; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brothers, Aaron Sims, Jr., Anthony Sims, and Patrick Sims; sisters, Myrna Cooper and Jacqueline Gaines, all of Chattanooga; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. Pastor Aaron Sims, Sr. will be the eulogist.
