Teresa Ann Sturdivant's Obituary
Teresa Ann Sturdivant, 67, of Chattanooga, passed away Thursday, November 27, 2025, at her residence. She was educated in the Chattanooga Public Schools and was a 1976 graduate of Chattanooga High School. She was formerly employed by the Hamilton County Health Department as a Senior Secretary.
Teresa was preceded in death by her grandparents, Alladen and Lizzie Mae Heard; parents, Fred Sturdivant, Jr. and Katie Ruth James; sisters, Linda Gayle Delong, Diane Sturdivant Caldwell, Kathy Jean Delaney, and Cassandra Ross Foster.
Survivors include her brothers, Gary (Vera) Delaney, Indugu Jabbo Jameel Abdul Hakim, and Fredrick (Brenda) Sturdivant, all of Chattanooga; sisters, Sandra Harris of Chattanooga and Daisy Wright of Pittsburg, PA; uncle, Tyrone J. Sturdivant of Chattanooga; aunts, Francis Heard Lee and Joy Heard, both of Chattanooga; several nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends.
Teresa will lie-in-state on Monday, December 8, 2025, at 10 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 12 noon in the Chapel with Pastor Alfred Johnson as the Eulogist. Burial in Greenwood Cemetery.
