Tavaras “Turbo” Demetrius Menifee, Sr., 36, of Chattanooga, passed away Sunday, August 13, 2023. He was born January 2, 1987, in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Tavaras was preceded in death by his grandparents, Reverend Thomas and Rachel Sparks, Reverend Lucius and Louise Menifee, Sr.; brother, Marvin Menifee; uncles, Edward Chapman, Thomas Sparks, Jr., Jeffrey Menifee, Sr., Calvin Menifee, and Lovest Morris; aunts, Barbara Chapman and Kimberly R. Sparks; cousins, Derrick Smith, Makala Sparks, and Chadrick Sparks. Tavaras will lie-in-state on Friday, August 25, 2023, from 1-5 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Saturday, August 26, 2023, at 12 noon at Community Baptist Church with Pastor Gerald Penn as the eulogist. Burial in Highland Memorial Gardens.
