Tatianna Vershae Mitchell's Obituary
Tatianna Vershae Mitchell, 29, formerly of Chattanooga, passed away Monday, December 16, 2024, in a Birmingham hospital. She attended Central High School, where she graduated in 2014 before continuing her education at East Tennessee State University, where she received her Bachelor of Science in both Psychology and Criminal Justice. She was a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., and attended Metro Tab Church. Tatianna was preceded in death by her grandfather, Glover Benn, Jr.; Willie and Luvenai Mitchell. Those left to cherish her memories include her father, Willie James Mitchell, Jr.; mother, Sonya Benn Mitchell, both of Chattanooga; grandmother, Hazel W. Benn; brothers, Braxston Mitchell, Bernard (Savonia) Allen, and Michael Wilson, all of Chattanooga; sisters, WyKeshia Allen, of Meridan, MS, and Nyiemah Morgan Martin, of Chattanooga; fiancé, Anthony “Troy” Sales, Jr., of Chattanooga; uncles, Willie (Felicia) Frazier, of Chattanooga, George (Cynthia) Mitchell, of Tuscaloosa, AL, John (Lisa) Mitchell, Bennie Mitchell, Frederick Mitchell, and Roderick (Diantha) Mitchell, all of Epes, AL, and Phillip (Ivy) Benn, of Augusta, GA; aunts, Luverne Oliver, of Bellwood, IL, Bessie Sanders, Olivia Mitchell, and Joyce Jackson, all of Epes, and Angela (Jessy) Reed, of Tuscaloosa; nephews, Kee’San Armour, Hayden Armour, and Tayvion Allen; nieces, Ayoni Allen and Aria Mitchell; best friends, Raven Goodwin, Ariel Scott, and Lexus Moore; other uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. Tatianna will lie-in-state on Friday, January 3, 2025, from 12:30 to 5:00 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at 12:00 noon in the chapel with Apostle William McGhee as Eulogist. Burial in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.
