Tara Diameshia Murphy, 52, of Chattanooga, passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2022, in a local hospital. She was born October 26, 1970, to the late Derenda Walker and Eliza Murphy, Jr. She graduated in 1988 from Howard High School. Tara attended Olivet Baptist Church. She worked in food service at Clarion Hotel. Tara was preceded in death by her mother, Derenda Walker; father, Elzia Murphy, Jr.; son, Antwuan Stokes; grandparents, Ernest Mae Sands Murphy, Elzia Murphy, Sr., and Homer Green, Sr. Survivors include her children, Karlton Walker, Jr., Jawuan Ware, Sr., Derenda (Bernard) Hyter, Montez Murphy, Laura Murphy, Eric Collier and Taneshia Gearing; grandchildren, Dekira, Kristopher, Drekell, Jawuan, Jr., Ayah, Jasyah, Antwuan, Jr., Isabella, Isaiah, and Brycen; grandmother, Ann Walker; brothers, Travis Murphy, Reginald Murphy, Germaine Favor, and Anthony Stokes; sisters, Keya (Andre) Crayton, Shernariun Favor, Wenona Calloway, and Corretta (Darrell) Ownes; special uncles and aunts, Riley (Paulette) Walker, Ronnie (Paula) Walker, Arnella (Tommy) Green Mitchell, Alisa (Alphonso) Allen, Adriene (Stacey) Banks, Antonio (Temperance) Walker, Monroe (Lucille) Walker, and James Walker; nieces, Christiana Walker and Alisha Houston; nephews, Tevin Murphy, Travis Murphy, Jr., Keenan Kennard, and Germaine Favor, Jr.; special loved ones, Deborah Bell, Starr (Eric) Cousin, Tijuana (Lonnie) Terry Deborah Mosley, Herman Brown, Kevin Albert, Sr., Lendia Langford, Mary (Joe) Brown, Andrenay Armour, Consuela McCrobey, Teleia Fitch, Michael Moore, and Ladainta Harvey Chambliss; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends.
