Tammy Brigette Heard's Obituary
Tammy Brigette Dave-Heard, 61, of Chattanooga, departed this world peacefully on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, in a local hospital, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, wisdom, and enduring love. She was a cherished Daughter, Mother, Grandmother, and Friend who touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her. She was born on November 26, 1963, at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, Military Hospital of Landstuhl, Germany.
Tammy was baptized at Prospect Baptist Church at a young age and completed her education at Ooltewah Middle and High School. She was an adamant Track Runner at Ooltewah and set a record that redefined the speed for females for several years. As a track runner, Tammy’s legacy became a beacon of hope, particularly for aspiring female, black athletes at Ooltewah Middle/High School in the 1970s who saw in her a reflection of their own potential. Her achievements were not a matter of chance but the result of relentless effort and an unshakeable belief in herself.
Tammy was a beacon of light with unwavering compassion and selflessness with her children and her grandchildren. She dedicated her life to fostering joy and connection, always placing the needs of others before her own. Whether through her work as a Certified Nursing Assistant, friendships, or family commitment, Tammy’s presence illuminated and impacted the lives of many. Tammy’s laughter was infectious, words inspiring, and her actions were defined by grace and generosity. As we mourn the loss of Tammy, we also celebrate her remarkable life and her joy of dancing and fishing. Tammy’s memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her, serving as a reminder of the profound beauty of a well-lived life. Tammy is survived by her family, friends, and countless others whose lives were touched by her kindness. Though her physical presence is no longer with us, her spirit will continue to guide and inspire.
