Steven “Steve” Jerome Christopher, 64, of Rossville, Georgia, passed away Saturday, May 8, 2021 in a Ft. Oglethorpe hospital. He was a 1975 graduate of Rossville High School. He was formerly employed by Astec Industries. He was a member of E. Third Street Church of Christ. Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy and Ruby Christopher. Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Hazel Christopher; daughter, Andrea Rachelle (Ethan) Patton of Rossville, GA; son, Jamar Porter of LaFayette, GA; grandchildren, Elianna Rose Patton, Gavin Porter, and Jonte Porter; brothers, Roger (Freda) Christopher of Ringgold, GA and Larry Christopher of Chattanooga; sister, Bonita (Frank) Woodson of Richmond, VA; aunt, Rosetta Akins of Chattanooga; special cousin, Sykenya Buchanan; several nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives; best friend, Danny Buchanan and many other friends. Brother John R. Taylor, Sr. will serve as the eulogist.
