Steven Drake's Obituary
Steven “Red” Drake, 62, of Chattanooga, passed away Friday, May 22, 2026, in a local hospital. He was born July 7, 1963 in Chattanooga, Tennessee to Limmie Drake, Sr. and Velma Howard. Steven was educated in the Chattanooga Public Schools and was a 1980 graduate of Riverside High School. He was a mechanic for Mike’s Autobody Shop for several years.
Steven was preceded in death by his mother, Velma Tiller; father, Limmie Drake, Sr.; and aunts, Thelma Drake and Levornia Brown.
Survivors include his daughters, Crystal Finley and Ravon Drake, both of Chattanooga; 8 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; brother, Limmie Drake, Jr. of Chattanooga; cousin, Ronald Drake; other relatives and friends.
Steven will lie-in-state on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 12:00 noon in the Chapel with Pastor Ronald Harris as the Eulogist. Burial in Highland Memorial Gardens.
