Slyvester Posley's Obituary
Slyvester Posley, 67, formerly of Chattanooga, passed away Saturday, March 16, 2026, in Memphis, Tennessee. He was born on December 28, 1957. He attended Howard High School and moved from Chattanooga to Memphis to further his education and improve his lifestyle. He enjoyed playing his music, painting, and being around his family and friends. He was a very loving and kind human being who will be deeply missed.
Slyvester is preceded in death by his loving and caring parents, Slyvester and Dilcie Posley; grandparents, Joseph and Mose Ella Pearson, and Sallie McKinley Posley; sisters, Windy Pearson and Vera Posley.
Those left to cherish his fond memories include his beloved sister, Dilcie Pearson; brothers, Stanley Posley, James Posley, Joe Posley, and Walter Eberhardt; aunt, Linda (Waymond) Jones; nieces, Wendy Posley, Princess Posley, and KenshunTeune Posely; nephews, Stanley Garth, Courtney (Jasmine) Clay, Larry Clay, Tony Pines, Tanasha (Willie) Foster, Cordell Pines, Tracie Pines, Antowine (Stacie) Posley, and Lebron Verlett, all of Chattanooga, Tennessee; very special friend, Ms. Robbie Parson of Memphis, Tennessee; extended cousins, other relatives and friends.
Thanks to all who have shown their love and support. In the midst of heartache and pain, we have found peace in the Lord Jesus Christ. May God bless each of you. The Pearson and Posley Family.
A private memorial service will be held on Friday.
