Mrs. Shirell Denice Hampton-Ellison's Obituary
Shirell Denice Hampton-Ellison, 49, of Chattanooga, passed away Friday, December 23, 2022, in a local hospital. She attended Howard High School where she was a flag girl. Shirell continued her education and graduated from Chattanooga State Technical Community College. She was currently attending Phoenix University to extend her degree. Shirell was one of the founding members of The Ladies Association. She was a longtime employee of Old Fashioned Hearts Adult Sitting Service, Enterprise Inc. as well as T-Mobile, Inc. Shirell was preceded in death by her parents, Reverend John Hampton and Mrs. Betty Hampton; grandparents, Mary Smith and Dawson Smith; granddaughter, Chole Marie Robinson; aunts, Mary Hill, Shelley Hampton, Mary Curtis, and Irene Hill; uncles, Clayton Smith, Jack Foster, James Foster, Aaron Foster, and Charlie Graham. Survivors include her husband, Osayande Ellison; loving daughters, Symonne Pierce and Sydney Hampton; stepson, DeAndre Williams; grandchildren, Cortney Robinson, Jr., Calvin Robinson, and Charlotte Robinson; sister, Joann Dwight, all of Chattanooga; nieces, Betty Leath and Cailee Davenport; nephew, Caden Davenport; aunts, Rosie (Napoleon) Murphy, Esther Graham, Maedell Foster, and Lessie Foster; godchildren, Carla Eberhardt, Rodney Lounds, Jr., RaKeyaina “Binky” Lounds, Christopher Vines, Jr., Antonio Ivey, Jr., Allen Ray, Jr., Gabrielle Ray, and Rayvane Brown; best friends, Cashenda Brodgen, Monica Kyles, Alicia Ray, Shartella Brown, LaKizzie Brown, April Stoudemire, Towanda Langston, and Ashley Johnson; a host of cousins; other relatives and friends. Pastor Anthony Williams will officiate and LaKizzie Brown will be the eulogist.
