Sherryl Ann Birdsong's Obituary
Sherryl Ann Birdsong, 71, of Chattanooga, passed away Sunday, July 20, 2025, in a local healthcare facility. She was a 1972 graduate of Howard High School. Sherryl was employed as a Deputy Clerk with the City of Chattanooga and retired after many years of service. She was a member of New Anointing Pure Holiness Church of God.
Sherryl was preceded in death by her husband, Morris Birdsong; parents, A. D. and Betty Ringer, Sr; stepmother, Bettie Ryan Ringer; and sister, Cassandra Ringer-Robinson.
Survivors include her daughters, Kimberly Key and Kendra Hall, both of Atlanta, GA; stepson, Corey Birdsong of Chattanooga; stepmother, Deborah Ringer; brother, A. D. (Carolyn) Ringer, Jr. of Dayton, OH; sisters, Linda (Gerald) Woods of Chattanooga, Kathey Brown and Debbie (Marvin) Foston of Atlanta, GA; aunt Willie Mae (Lee) Cooper of Dayton, OH; and a host of other relatives; friends; and associates.
Sherryl will lie-in-state on Friday, August 1, 2025, from 1–5 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home and will lie-in-state Saturday, August 2, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at New Anointing PHC. Funeral service will be Saturday, August 2, 2025, at 12:00 noon at New Anointing Pure Holiness Church with Elder Corey Prather as the Eulogist. Burial will be held on Monday, August 4, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. in Forest Hills Cemetery.
