Sharon Zackery's Obituary
Sharon Denise Zackery, 63, of Chattanooga, passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at her residence. She graduated from Riverside High School in 1978, and received her Bachelor of Science at American Intercontinental University. She was preceded in death by her father, Melvin Hodges Sr.; maternal grandparents, Albert and Alice Gibson; paternal grandparents, William and Cora Hodges. Survivors include her husband, Walter Zackery, Sr.; son, Walter Zackery, Jr.; daughter, Kamiko Zackery, both of Chattanooga, TN; four grandchildren, Kenshayla Sutton, Walter Zackery, III, Jazminque Zackery, Ziearra Zackery; mother, Pauline Garth, of Chattanooga; brothers, Melvin (Wanda) Hodges, Jr., of Allentown, PA, Fred Hodges, of Chattanooga, Edward Hodges, of Atlanta, GA, Jeffrey Hodges, of Chattanooga; sister, Linda (Terry) Moore, of Chattanooga; aunt, Betty McCollum, of Chicago, IL; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives. Sharon will lie-in-state on Monday, April 1, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel. Burial will be in Tyner Cemetery.
