Shamna Vicie-Rena Twitty's Obituary
Shamna Vicie-Rena Twitty, 66, formerly of Chattanooga, passed away Saturday, November 30, 2024, in Greensville County, Virginia. She attended City High School and was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. Shamna was preceded in death by her father, Calvin B. Twitty, Sr.; mother, Elenor Jones; grandparents, James and Hattie Mae Cokley, Earl and Anita Twitty; brothers, Reginald Twitty and Calvin B. Twitty, Jr. Survivors include her fiance, Joseph Bynum; children, Anthony Twitty of Greenville, SC, Nicole Bennett of Manassas, VA, and Darrell Stamper of McDonough, GA; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grand-children; brothers, Felix Twitty, Thaddeus Twitty, both of Murfreesboro, TN, and Edithen Twitty of Chattanooga; sister, Deborah (Charles) Simpson of Murfreesboro, TN; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. Shamna will lie-in-state on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel with Apostle Dwight Bynum as the Eulogist. Burial in Highland Memorial Gardens.
