Skai'Lyn LaiAni Washington McComb's Obituary
Skai’Lyn LaiAni Washington McComb, 13 months, of Chattanooga, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, October 31, 2025, in a local hospital. “Our little sunshine, forever in our hearts.” Though her time on earth was brief, Skai’Lyn’s radiant smile, joyful spirit, and boundless energy touched every heart that had the privilege of knowing her. Loving, playful, and full of life, Skai’Lyn was the star of her parents’ eyes, a bright light who brought warmth and happiness to all around her. Her laughter could brighten any room, and her sweet, curious nature reminded everyone of the beauty in life’s smallest moments.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Lesley Washington; great-great-grandmother, Daisy Mae Wadley; great-grandmother, Lucy Mitchell; and a host of beloved aunts and uncles who now embrace her in Heaven.
She leaves to cherish her precious memory: her loving parents, Antorry McComb and Monique Washington; great-grandmothers; Ann Wadley and Catherine Hicks-Hilt; great-grandfather, Leslie (Susan) Freeman; grandparents, Lachandra McComb (Harry), Miracle Hilt, and Anthony McComb Sr.,; her big sister, Ka’Lani Hughes; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends who will forever keep her memory alive, including her special cousins Averi McComb and A’Miracle Covington, and her devoted godmother Shayla Miller.
Though Skai’Lyn’s time with us was far too short, her spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who loved her. She will be remembered for her laughter, her sparkle, and the joy she brought into every moment. Her life was a gift, a beautiful reminder that love, no matter how brief, lasts forever. “Sleep in heavenly peace, our precious Skai’Lyn. You will always be our little sunshine.”
Skai’Lyn will lie-in-state on Friday, November 21, 2025, at 9 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 12 noon in the Chapel with Pastor Kenneth Simpson as the Eulogist. Burial in Forest Hills Cemetery.
